한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
❌ I am considering to change my career to marketing.
✅ I am considering changing my career to marketing.
한국어에서는 '~하는 것을 고려하다'라고 표현하기 때문에 영어에서도 'consider to + 동사'로 쓰기 쉽습니다. 하지만 영어에서 consider는 반드시 동명사(~ing)를 목적어로 취하는 동사입니다. 'consider to change'는 문법적으로 틀린 표현이므로, 커리어 전환을 이야기할 때 'consider changing'으로 써야 합니다.
