A big mistake Last year about 3 months after I turned 14 I started seeing this guy at school.
He was four years older than me but I had known him the whole time I had
been at school, since year seven. I was in year 9 at the time we started seeing
each other and he was in year 12.
He was a really nice guy but as the relationship grew so did his confidence
in trying to get me into bed. I was at a party and he came to pick me up and
asked if I wanted to do it. I said yes but I didn't know why, I just said it.
After we did it he dropped me back at the party and never called again.
We broke up and he hasn't spoken to me since. Everyone at school found out
because I told my best friend Scott, who I truly loved but I knew I never had
a chance with him, so I dated other guys to get my mind off him. He told me
that he lost respect for me.
We have only just gotten our relationship back together after nearly a year of
heartbreak for me. But something worse happened, I was late for my period
and the worst thing was having to wait the 2 minutes for the results. It was the
longest and most traumatising time of my life, but luckily it was negative. In the
end I found out that not waiting for somebody to have sex with who I truly loved
made this experience harder for me to go through, but I have made it even
though I felt used and dirty at the time. This experience has made me grow
better as a person and to bloom. As my parents said, things happen for a reason.
I hope this helps all those women out there who have made a mistake like mine.
