이력서를 작성할 때 한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어 이력서에서는 "~을 담당했습니다"처럼 완전한 문장을 쓰지만, 영문 이력서에서는 주어(I)를 생략하고 강력한 동사(Designed, Managed, Developed)로 시작하는 것이 표준입니다. 또한 "was responsible for"나 "was doing"처럼 약한 표현 대신, 성과 중심의 간결한 동사구를 사용해야 전문적으로 보입니다.
한국인 학습자들은 Objective(목표) 항목에 "I want to~" 같은 일상적 표현을 쓰는 경우가 많습니다. 영문 이력서에서는 "To attain," "To secure," "To leverage"처럼 격식 있는 to-부정사 구문을 사용하고, "good job"이나 "big company" 대신 구체적인 직함과 회사 유형을 명시해야 합니다.
