adjourn To temporarily stop a meeting with the intention of continuing later. 회의를 중단하다, 휴회하다 Let's adjourn the meeting and pick up where we left off tomorrow morning.
motion A formal proposal made during a meeting for the group to take a specific action. 동의(안), 제안 I'd like to make a motion to approve the revised marketing budget.
table (a discussion) To postpone or delay discussing a topic until a later time. (안건을) 보류하다, 나중으로 미루다 We're running short on time, so let's table this discussion until next week.
quorum The minimum number of members required to be present for a meeting to make official decisions. 의사 정족수 We can't vote on the proposal because we don't have a quorum yet.
consensus A general agreement reached by everyone in the group. 합의, 의견 일치 After a long debate, the team finally reached a consensus on the new policy.
proxy A person authorized to act or vote on behalf of someone who cannot attend the meeting. 대리인, 위임장 Since Mr. Kim is traveling, he sent a proxy to vote on his behalf at the board meeting.
