한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에서는 "사직당했다"처럼 피동 표현을 쓰기 때문에 영어에서도 "I was resigned"이라고 수동태를 쓰는 경우가 많습니다. 하지만 영어에서 resign은 자발적으로 그만두는 행위이므로 능동태 "I resigned"가 맞습니다. 만약 회사 측의 요청이 있었다면 "I was asked to resign"이라고 표현해야 합니다.
