Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에서는 "대학교를 졸업했다"처럼 목적어로 바로 연결하지만, 영어에서 graduate는 자동사이므로 반드시 전치사 from이 필요합니다. 면접에서 학력을 말할 때 "I graduated from + 학교명"으로 말해야 자연스럽고 정확한 표현이 됩니다.
한국어의 "배우다"를 직역해서 learn을 쓰는 경우가 많지만, 대학에서 전공을 공부한 경험을 말할 때는 studied가 훨씬 자연스럽습니다. 또한 이미 졸업한 경우 전공은 과거형 was를 써야 합니다. "My major was economics and I studied it at Seoul National University."처럼 표현하세요.
