The huge hippo walked up to the fence.
"I love all these people!" he thought. "I love everyone!"
The hippo enjoyed living at the Hampton Zoo. Almost every visitor came to see him.
He was one of the most well-liked animals.
"Eeek!" a little girl screamed.
The hippo turned his heavy head. The girl began to run away.
"Wait!" the hippo wanted to cry. He loved every child. He even loved the hyperactive (overly active) ones. He didn't want to scare them.
The little girl's mother gave her a helpful hug. Soon, the little girl turned toward
the hippo.
