SIMPLE PAST (I DID)Study this situation:Michelangelo was born in Tuscany, to Ludovico di Leonardo di Buonarotto Simoni and Francesca Neri. When Michelangelo turned 13, he became an apprentice to the painter Domenico Ghirlandaio. Michelangelo went on to study sculpture in the Medici gardens was invited into the household of Lorenzo de' Medici, the Magnificent. He met the young Medici, two of whom later became popes (Leo X and Clement VII).
