In the foreground, there are two people walking on the sidewalk.

Korean Trap! / 한국인 실수 교정

Common mistakes Korean speakers make when describing pictures.
그림을 설명할 때 한국인이 자주 하는 실수입니다.

❌ In this picture, it has a man who is sitting on a bench.

✅ In this picture, there is a man sitting on a bench.

"it has"는 그림 묘사에 어울리지 않습니다. "There is/are..."로 시작하는 것이 TOEIC Speaking에서 가장 자연스러운 표현입니다. 이것은 그림 묘사의 기본 구조입니다.

❌ At the background, I can see some trees.

✅ In the background, I can see some trees.

"background"와 함께 쓰는 전치사는 "in"입니다. "at the background"는 틀린 표현입니다. 마찬가지로 "in the foreground" (전경에), "on the left/right" (왼쪽/오른쪽에)도 기억하세요.
