Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에서 "커피 좋아해?"라고 물을 때, 영어로 be동사(are/is)를 쓰는 실수를 많이 합니다. 영어에서 일반동사(like, play, work 등)로 질문할 때는 be동사가 아니라 do/does를 사용해야 합니다. "Are you like...?"가 아니라 "Do you like...?"가 맞습니다.
평서문에서는 "He likes pizza."처럼 동사에 -s를 붙이지만, does를 사용한 의문문에서는 동사를 원형으로 써야 합니다. does가 이미 3인칭 단수를 나타내기 때문에 동사에 -s를 또 붙이면 틀립니다.
한국어 어순은 "너 김치 좋아해?"처럼 주어가 먼저 나오지만, 영어 의문문에서는 Do/Does가 문장 맨 앞에 와야 합니다. 어순을 꼭 기억하세요: Do/Does + 주어 + 동사원형?
