한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어 어순은 '일하고 있나요 그가 오늘?'처럼 동사가 먼저 나오지만, 영어 현재진행형 의문문은 반드시 Is/Are + 주어 + -ing 순서입니다. 주어를 빠뜨리거나 동사 뒤에 놓으면 틀립니다. 항상 "Is he working?" "Are they going?"처럼 주어를 is/are 바로 뒤에 넣으세요.
의문사(Where, What, Who)가 있는 현재진행형 질문에서도 어순이 중요합니다. 한국어는 '어디 가고 있어 네 친구들?'이 자연스럽지만, 영어는 의문사 + are/is + 주어 + -ing 순서를 꼭 지켜야 합니다. "Where are going they?"가 아니라 "Where are they going?"이라고 말하세요.
