A. Present Continuous

The present continuous is am/is/are + doing/eating/running/writing, etc.

Korean Trap! / 한국인 실수 교정
Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에서는 "먹다" → "먹고 있다"처럼 '~고 있다'만 붙이면 되지만, 영어에서는 반드시 동사에 -ing를 붙여야 합니다. am/is/are 다음에 동사 원형(eat)을 쓰면 틀립니다. 항상 am/is/are + 동사-ing 형태를 기억하세요!
run처럼 짧은 모음 + 자음 하나로 끝나는 단어는 마지막 자음을 한 번 더 쓰고 -ing를 붙입니다: run → running, sit → sitting, swim → swimming. 철자 규칙을 꼭 외워 두세요!
부정문에서도 마찬가지입니다! 한국어는 "안 보고 있어"로 간단하지만, 영어는 부정문이든 긍정문이든 항상 -ing를 붙여야 합니다. am not / isn't / aren't 뒤에도 반드시 동사-ing 형태를 쓰세요.
