한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
❌ "What will you do in this weekend?"
✅ "What are you doing this weekend?"
한국어로 '이번 주말에'를 직역하면 "in this weekend"이라고 하기 쉽지만, 영어에서 this weekend 앞에는 전치사를 쓰지 않습니다. 또한 이미 정해진 가까운 미래의 계획을 물어볼 때는 will보다 현재진행형(be + -ing)을 쓰는 것이 훨씬 자연스럽습니다. "What will you do?"는 즉석에서 결정을 요청하는 느낌이고, "What are you doing?"은 이미 세운 계획을 묻는 자연스러운 표현입니다.
