Korean Trap! /

Common mistakes Korean speakers make when writing resumes and describing responsibilities.

❌ I was in charge of manage the marketing team.
✅ I was in charge of managing the marketing team.

"in charge of" 뒤에는 명사 또는 동명사(-ing)가 옵니다. "of manage"는 틀립니다. 전치사(of, for, in, at 등) 뒤에는 항상 동명사를 사용하세요.

❌ Resume: "I managed 10 people and I increased sales and I improved customer satisfaction."
✅ Resume: "Managed a team of 10, increased sales by 15%, and improved customer satisfaction scores."

  2. What is the difference between "managed" and "led"? Between "created" and "developed"? When would you use each?
  3. How are Korean resumes different from English resumes in format and content?
  4. If you had to update your resume today, what new skills or accomplishments would you add?
