We all rush to judgement. When we see the new presenter standing there, we the audience are taking snapshots, forming judgements about the presenter. How often have you sat there and known that a presentation is going to be good or bad within the first 90 seconds? In the next few comments we’re going to look at ways of improving your impact in those crucial 90 seconds but, for the moment, just concentrate on one thing.
Turn to the audience and say, “I’m really pleased to be given the chance to speak to you this morning. I’ve really been looking forward to it.” They’ll be put more at ease, you’ll be more at ease and politeness can get you a long way.

Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어로는 '여러분께 발표하게 되어'라고 할 때 '~에게'의 방향이 동사에 포함된 느낌이지만, 영어에서 present는 타동사로 쓰일 때 '발표 내용'이 목적어가 됩니다. 청중에게 말할 때는 반드시 present to you로 전치사 to를 넣어야 합니다. 첫 90초 안에 이런 기본 실수가 나오면 청중의 신뢰를 잃기 쉬우니 인사말은 미리 정확히 연습해 두세요.
