Korean Trap! /

Common mistakes Korean speakers make.

❌ I want to keep young forever.
✅ I want to stay young forever.

Discussion

Share your thoughts with your teacher.

  1. The passage says "an idle mind is the devil’s workshop" and links it to Alzheimer’s. To what extent is lifelong learning a genuine protection against cognitive decline versus just a nice idea?
  2. Rule 6 says "endure, grieve, and move on." Is this advice helpful or dismissive? Some psychologists argue that suppressing grief can be harmful.
  3. Rule 9 warns against "guilt trips." Why is guilt such a powerful emotion, and can it ever serve a constructive purpose?
  4. The passage mixes practical advice (eat healthy, keep learning) with emotional wisdom (forgive, cherish). Which type of advice is harder to follow, and why?
  5. If you could add one more rule specifically relevant to modern life, what would it be?
