We use much + uncountable noun (much food/ much money, etc.)
we use many + plural noun (many books/ many people)
we use a lot of + both kinds of noun
We bought a lot food. We bought a lot of books.
Paula doesn’t have free time. Did they ask you a lot of questions?
Note that we say:
There is a lot of food/money/ water. (singular verb)There are a lot of trees/ stores/ people. (plural verb)
A lot of people like soccer. (not likes)
Write many and much.

"a lot of + 복수 명사"일 때 동사는 복수형을 사용합니다: "people like" (O). 하지만 "a lot of + 셀 수 없는 명사"일 때는 단수 동사를 사용합니다: "a lot of water is" (O).
