Korean Trap! / 한국인 실수 교정

Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.

❌ They live in a house modern. 그들은 현대적인 집에 살아요.
✅ They live in a modern house. 그들은 현대적인 집에 살아요.

한국어에서는 "집 현대적인"처럼 수식어가 명사 뒤에 올 수 있지만, 영어에서 형용사는 항상 명사 앞에 옵니다: "a modern house" (O), "a house modern" (X).

Discussion

Share your thoughts with your teacher.
선생님과 의견을 나눠보세요.

  1. Where does the adjective go in English — before or after the noun?
영어에서 형용사는 명사 앞에 오나요, 뒤에 오나요?
  2. The lesson says "the ending of an adjective is always the same." What does this mean? Does "different" change for plural nouns?
수업에서 "형용사의 어미는 항상 같다"고 합니다. 무슨 뜻인가요? "different"가 복수 명사에서 변하나요?
  3. Can you use adjectives with "be" (am/is/are)? Make three sentences: one with "am", one with "is", one with "are".
"be" (am/is/are)와 형용사를 사용할 수 있나요? "am", "is", "are"로 각각 문장을 만들어 보세요.
