Cats sometimes climb so high in trees that they are afraid to climb down. If someone doesn’t help them, they may fall and get badly hurt. Years ago, fire fighters used their ladders to save the helpless cats. Today, the fire fighters are usually too busy to help.
The cats on Long Island are lucky. Paul Petzold’s job is climbing trees to snip off dead branches. Paul, however, likes cats. He will always take the time to climb a tree to save a frightened cat. He has even rescued cats at night and during the winter. Paul is a person who really loves cats.
