One day, Mrs. Rhoads saw a little dog. She petted the dog and then went home. The dog followed her. Mrs. Rhoads didn’t want a pet, so she left it outside. The next morning the dog was still there wagging its tail back and forth.
Mrs. Rhoads took the dog across town and gave it to a friend. The next day it was back. She gave the dog away three times, but it always returned.
Mrs. Rhoads couldn’t give the dog away, so she decided to keep it. Besides, she was getting to love the little dog that always returned.

"decide" 뒤에는 "to + 동사원형"이 옵니다. "-ing"를 쓰면 틀립니다. 한국어에서는 "~하기로"라고 하므로 헷갈리지만, 영어에서 decide는 항상 to부정사와 함께 씁니다.
