한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.

❌ "I need to catch the deadline."
✅ "I need to meet the deadline."

한국어에서는 '마감을 잡다/맞추다'라고 표현하기 때문에 catch를 쓰기 쉽지만, 영어에서는 항상 "meet the deadline"이라고 합니다. Catch는 물리적으로 무언가를 잡는 느낌이라 deadline과는 어울리지 않습니다. "Meet a deadline" 또는 "miss a deadline"을 한 세트로 기억하세요.
