a. The teacher will ask the student to read the passage on page 3.
b. The teacher will fill in the table below and ask the student to recite words in the table.

We also have all kinds of cats, including Persians, and a wide assortment of cat accessories including scratch posts and kitty litter. Wait! There is more! We have gerbils! Gobs of them! And everything you need to house, feed and pamper your pet. It’s all here at Bob’s Pets. This week only we have a special on bunnies. You can buy half a dozen bunnies at half the price. That is six bunnies for the low, low price of $6.99. Only at Bob’s!

*Main content words are nouns, noun phrases,main verbs, times and dates,adjectives,adverbs, and even negatives.
*Function words are articles, prepositions, conjunctions and auxiliaries [Statements using the auxiliary verbs ( is, are, can, have, will) are usually unstressed. This means that the vowel sound becomes shorter and consonants may change or be dropped.

1. rising – pitch of voice goes up
At the end of a yes or no questionAny question that ends with the name of a person
2. falling – pitch of voice goes down
A statement, command, or request.Questions that begin with who, what, where, when, or how.Questions that have choices – the last choice given in the question goes down; the choices before the last one goes up.

한국어는 자음으로 끝나는 음절이 드물기 때문에, 영어 단어 끝에 '으' 모음을 무의식적으로 추가하는 경우가 많습니다. TOEIC Speaking Part 1에서는 이런 불필요한 모음 삽입이 발음 점수를 크게 깎습니다. 단어 끝 자음은 입모양만 만들고 깔끔하게 끊어 주세요.
