Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
❌ "I think the picture is showing a man is working."
✅ "In this picture, I can see a man working at his desk."
TOEIC Speaking에서 사진 묘사나 의견 제시 시, 한국어 어순의 영향으로 불필요한 이중 주어(a man is working)를 사용하는 경우가 많습니다. 영어에서는 지각동사 뒤에 목적어 + 현재분사(see a man working) 구조를 사용하면 더 자연스럽고 고급스러운 표현이 됩니다. 또한 "I think"보다 "I can see" 같은 구체적 표현이 더 높은 점수를 받습니다.
