Korean Trap! / 한국인 실수 교정

Common mistakes Korean speakers make when reading aloud.
소리 내어 읽을 때 한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.

❌ "Please check the schedule." (pronouncing it as /스케줄/ with a hard 'sk' and flat vowels)
✅ "Please check the schedule." (/ˈskedʒ.uːl/ — with a clear 'sk' onset and natural stress on the first syllable)

한국어에는 영어의 강세(stress)와 약화(reduction) 개념이 없어서, 읽기 시 모든 음절을 같은 세기로 발음하는 경향이 있습니다. TOEIC Speaking Part 1에서는 강세가 있는 음절은 길고 크게, 없는 음절은 짧고 약하게 읽어야 높은 점수를 받을 수 있습니다. 문장을 읽기 전에 핵심 단어의 강세 위치를 먼저 확인하는 습관을 들이세요.
