III. Procedure:
a. Ask the student to read the passage on page 3 and take note all mispronounced words.
b. After reading the passage, ask the student to repeat the mispronounced words and practice the long words, words with final sounds, and non shared sound words.
*Highlight the words that were mispronounced. Highlighted words needs to be practiced.

Korean Trap! / 한국인 실수 교정

Common mistakes Korean speakers make when reading aloud.
영어 지문을 소리 내어 읽을 때 한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.

❌ "The rice of the product has increased." (발음: /raɪs/)
✅ "The price of the product has increased." (발음: /praɪs/)

한국어에는 자음이 연속으로 오는 자음군(consonant cluster)이 없기 때문에, "pr", "bl", "str" 같은 조합을 읽을 때 중간에 모음을 넣거나 첫 자음을 빠뜨리는 경우가 많습니다. TOEIC Speaking Part 1에서 지문을 소리 내어 읽을 때, 이런 자음군을 정확히 발음해야 감점을 피할 수 있습니다. 연습할 때 "p-r"을 끊지 말고 한 번에 이어서 발음하세요.
