I. Subject Matter: TOEIC Speaking Part 2 : Describe a picture
II. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:
Create coherent description of the photo given (page 41)Create appropriate sentences in describing each part by following the steps
III. Procedure:
a. Ask the student to describe the picture on page 41 and then compare the students answer with the model answers.
b. Correct the students answer by basing it from the model answer and steps given.
Model Answer:
Step 1: This is a picture of a grocery store.
Step 2:. You can see many aisles of produce. In each aisle, there are many displays of fruits and vegetables including watermelons, with price tags above. You can see also some people pushing shopping carts through the store.
Step 3: And, in the foreground, you can see a man in a white shirt just standing
Step 4: I don’t think the store is very busy there, because there are only a few people.

한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
사진을 묘사할 때 "There is/are + 사람 + 동사ing" 패턴을 사용해야 합니다. 한국어에서는 "서 있는 남자"처럼 동사 원형을 그대로 쓰는 느낌이라 'stand'를 쓰기 쉽지만, 영어에서는 현재분사(standing)를 써야 자연스럽습니다. 사진 속 진행 중인 동작을 표현할 때는 항상 "-ing" 형태를 기억하세요.
