III. Procedure:
a. The student will read the all the information in the chart (page 32-34)
b. To test the comprehension of the student, the teacher will ask random questions about the chart. The student should take note of the keyword in the questions.
c. The teacher would ask random questions about the chart (page 32-34). Most probably the teacher will use the phrase “is it true” when asking random questions. This is to practice the student in answering asking for confirmation type of questions.
d. The student will be timed in answering the questions 7 and 8 (pages 32-34)
Question 7: When is the convention and when does it start?
Question 8: I think I remember that lunch is provided but I am a vegetarian. Can I get a special meal?
Question 9: I think I am definitely going to the convention. Does it cost anything to attend?
e. The teacher will then discuss the model answers and compare it to the students answer.

제공된 정보를 활용하여 질문에 답할 때 한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에서는 '시작하다', '위치하다'처럼 동사 원형을 그대로 사용하는 경향이 있어, 영어에서도 동사 변형 없이 원형(start, locate)을 쓰는 실수를 합니다. 제공된 정보를 읽고 답할 때, 주어가 3인칭 단수이면 반드시 동사에 -s를 붙이고(starts), 수동태가 필요한 경우 be + 과거분사(is located) 형태를 사용해야 합니다. 표에서 정보를 빠르게 읽어 답하는 상황에서 특히 이런 문법 실수가 자주 발생하니 주의하세요.
한국어에서는 '점심시간은 12시부터 1시입니다'라고 말하기 때문에, 영어에서도 'from'을 빠뜨리고 시간 범위를 표현하는 경우가 많습니다. 시간 범위를 말할 때는 반드시 'from A to B' 구조를 사용하세요. 또한 'lunch time'보다는 간결하게 'lunch'로 표현하고, 'o'clock' 대신 'a.m./p.m.'을 붙여 정확한 시간대를 전달하는 것이 TOEIC Speaking에서 더 높은 점수를 받는 표현입니다.
