Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어로 "~하는 게 좋겠다"를 영어로 옮길 때 'had better'에서 'had'를 빼고 'you better'라고만 말하는 경우가 많습니다. 구어체에서 'you better'가 쓰이기도 하지만, TOEIC Speaking처럼 격식 있는 시험에서는 'had better' 또는 더 정중한 표현인 'I would suggest that you ~'를 사용하는 것이 좋습니다. 해결책을 제안할 때는 'I would recommend ~ing' 또는 'Why don't you ~?' 같은 공손한 표현을 함께 익혀 두세요.
