Common mistakes Korean speakers make when responding to questions using provided information.
제공된 정보를 활용하여 질문에 답할 때 한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.

❌ "The event is start at 3 p.m. and finish at 5 p.m."
✅ "The event starts at 3 p.m. and finishes at 5 p.m."

한국어에서는 시제나 주어에 따라 동사 형태가 변하지 않지만, 영어에서는 현재 시제의 3인칭 단수 주어일 때 동사에 -s를 붙여야 합니다. 제공된 일정표나 안내문의 정보를 읽어서 답할 때, "The workshop begin..." 이나 "The session include..." 처럼 동사 원형을 그대로 사용하는 실수가 매우 흔합니다. Q9에서 일정, 시간, 장소 등의 정보를 전달할 때는 반드시 주어와 동사의 수일치를 확인하세요.

❌ "According the schedule, the meeting is in Room 204."
✅ "According to the schedule, the meeting is in Room 204."

한국어의 "~에 따르면"을 영어로 옮길 때 "according" 뒤에 전치사 "to"를 빠뜨리는 경우가 많습니다. 제공된 정보를 인용하며 답변할 때 "According to the information provided" 또는 "According to the schedule"처럼 반드시 "to"를 포함해야 합니다. 이 표현은 Q9에서 정보의 출처를 밝히며 답변할 때 매우 유용하므로 정확하게 익혀두세요.
