I. Subject Matter: TOEIC Speaking Part 3 : Respond to question (Q4/Q5)
II. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:
know how to answer wh/how questions
III. Procedure:
a. The teacher will ask the questions on page 6-7. The student would need to answer the question using complete sentence. The teacher should discuss the three sample answers and discuss the difference.
Question 4: When you are at home by yourself, what kind of entertainment do you like?
Question 5: What kind of entertainment do you enjoy when you are out with friends?
b. Discuss the steps on how to answer the questions:
1. Begin your answer by paraphrasing the question.
2. Answer the question directly and don’t forget additional details.
Answer: When I am all by myself, I usually surf the Internet or watch downloaded movies and music videos. I am a member of a number of chat sites. When I am alone, I often chat on one of these sites. It is like I have a lot of friends at home with me!
c. Ask the questions again and allow the student to answer without looking at the sample answer
d. The teacher will ask additional wh and how questions to practice the student in answering this part of the exam.
