Warm-up

Talk about these questions with your teacher.

  1. Have you ever lent money to someone or borrowed money using a written agreement like a promissory note?
  2. Why do you think it is important to put the terms of a loan — such as the amount, interest rate, and due date — in writing?

Korean Trap! /

Common mistakes Korean speakers make.

❌ I promise to pay you back the money until next Friday.
✅ I promise to pay you back the money by next Friday.
