한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에서는 '신용을 신청하다'라고 해서 영어로도 "apply credit"이라고 직역하기 쉽습니다. 하지만 영어에서 "apply"는 무언가를 요청할 때 반드시 전치사 "for"와 함께 써야 합니다. "Apply credit"이라고 하면 '신용을 적용하다(바르다)'라는 전혀 다른 뜻이 되므로, 신용 신청서 작성 시 항상 "apply for credit"으로 표현하세요.
