한국어로 '허가를 신청하다'를 영어로 옮길 때 'apply a license'라고 쓰는 경우가 많습니다. 하지만 영어에서 'apply'는 자동사로 쓰일 때 반드시 전치사 'for'와 함께 사용해야 합니다. 'apply for + 명사'가 올바른 패턴이며, 면허, 허가증, 비자, 직책 등을 신청할 때 항상 'apply for'로 표현하세요.
