한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에서는 "신용을 신청하다"라고 해서 'apply'뒤에 바로 목적어를 쓰기 쉽지만, 영어에서는 반드시 'apply for'를 사용해야 합니다. 'Apply'는 자동사로 쓰이므로 전치사 'for'가 꼭 필요합니다. 비슷한 예로 'apply for a loan(대출을 신청하다)', 'apply for a position(직책에 지원하다)'이 있습니다.
