❌ "Can everyone listen me? Let's start the conference call."
✅ "Can everyone hear me? Let's start the conference call."
한국어에서는 '들리다'와 '듣다'를 구분하지만, 영어로 옮길 때 '듣다 = listen'으로 직역하는 실수가 많습니다. 상대방에게 소리가 잘 전달되는지 확인할 때는 'listen'이 아니라 'hear'를 사용해야 합니다. 'Listen'은 의식적으로 집중해서 듣는 행위이고, 'hear'는 소리가 들리는지 여부를 나타냅니다.
