A. Talking to the Flight Attendant
Mr. Han is taking a flight to the Philippines for an important meeting.
He wants to know the current business news of the country.
He motions for a flight attendant to assist him.
Flight Attendant:Good morning sir. How may I help you?
Mr. Han:Good morning. May I have a newspaper please?
Flight Attendant: I’ll be glad to get a copy for you right away.
Is there anything else I can do for you?
Mr. Han: I’m a little tired and sleepy. I need something to perk me up.
May I also request for some coffee?
Flight Attendant: Certainly sir. Do you want it black or with sugar and creamer?
Mr. Han: With sugar and creamer please.
Flight Attendant: Ok. I’ll be back with your newspaper and coffee in just a minute.
Mr. Han: Thank you. You’ve been very helpful.
Flight Attendant: You’re welcome. It’s my pleasure to assist you. Enjoy the flight.
Mr. Han: Oh yes, I will.

Korean Trap! /

Common mistakes Korean speakers make.

❌ "Can I have a newspaper?"
✅ "May I have a newspaper, please?"
