A flight attendant greets one of the passengers.Flight attendant Good morning, ma’am..How is your flight so far?
Woman: It’s been great. Say, where can I find the smoking area?
Flight attendant: It’s right down this way, ma’am. You’ll find it on your left.
Woman: Thank you! Oh, by the way, what time will you be
serving lunch?
Flight attendant: In about two hours, ma’am.
Woman: I see! Could you make sure that I don’t get meat?
I’m vegetarian.
Flight attendant: Of course. Will there be anything else?
Woman: Yes! I’d like some coffee later, with cream and sugar, please.
Flight attendant: Certainly!Would you like anything to read as well?
Woman: A magazine would be great, if you have any. Thank you!

한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에는 관사(a/the)가 없기 때문에 영어에서도 빠뜨리는 경우가 많습니다. 비행기 안의 흡연 구역처럼 특정한 장소를 물어볼 때는 반드시 정관사 the를 붙여야 합니다. 또한 "Where is~?"보다 "Where can I find~?"가 서비스를 요청할 때 더 자연스럽고 공손한 표현입니다.
