Lisa was assigned to do an interview for a school project. She is now on the phone making an appointment with Mr. Roberts, an environmental scientist.Lisa: Good morning. Can I speak to Mr. Roberts please?
Mr. Roberts: Good morning. This is Mr. Roberts speaking. May I know who’s on the line please?
Lisa: Oh, hi Mr. Roberts. This is Lisa Mitchell. I’m a senior student from the nearby state college.
Mr. Roberts: Hi Lisa! So what can I do for you?
Lisa: My classmates and I were assigned to do a research on the effects of radiation on specific plant species. I was hoping if you could spare me a few minutes to answer a couple of questions.
Mr. Roberts: Let me see. I have a meeting with some colleagues tomorrow morning but I’ll be free in the afternoon.
Lisa: Can I meet you at around 3 o’clock at your office? I’ll have my tape recorder and list of questions ready for tomorrow.
Mr. Roberts: Three o’clock would be fine. I’ll see you tomorrow then. Just be sure to be there on time.
Lisa: I sure will! Thank you so much Mr. Roberts! It’s been very nice talking to you.
Mr. Roberts: No problem. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help.
Lisa: That would be all for now, Mr. Roberts. I’d see you tomorrow.
