Guest: I’d like to know how and where could stay here in Taiwan?
Lodge Clerk: There’s a lot of places and lodges where you can stay here.
Guest: Could you recommend a lodge near the city center but not
too expensive.
Lodge Clerk: How about trying this lodge, we have a lot to offer to our guests.
Guest: Oh great! But first I’d like to know more about the offer,
and I’d like to get some information on your room rates.
Is there a discount for staying several days?
Lodge Clerk: Certainly! The room costs $50 a day but you can avail
of our 10% discount.
Guest: Does it include tax, service charge, and breakfast?
Lodge Clerk: Yes ma’am/sir!
Guest: Wow, that’s cheap! Do you need a deposit anyway?
Lodge Clerk Yes, we do ask 50% deposit of the total costs of your stay.
Guest: OK, I think I'm going to stay here.

Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.
한국어에서는 "하루에 얼마예요?"라고 할 때 '하루'를 직역하여 "one day"라고 하기 쉽습니다. 하지만 영어에서 요금을 물어볼 때는 "per day" 또는 "per night"을 사용합니다. 숙소에서는 특히 "per night"이 가장 자연스러운 표현입니다.
