Unit 2-1 / Part 2
Everyone has a favorite place to be alone in. For some people, it’s the
ocean; for some, the mountains. Still, for others it may be their cozy bedroom
filled with their favorite music. Wherever it may be, it’s a place that brings us
peace and lifts off stress and quiets busyness. It may be a place where we
sort through our thoughts and restore clarity. Then we walk off, ready to face
the world again.

Korean Trap! / 한국인 실수 교정

Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
한국인이 자주 하는 실수를 알아봅시다.

❌ "I am under stress a lot of at my favorite café because it's always crowded."
✅ "I am under a lot of stress at my favorite café because it's always crowded."

한국어로 '많은 스트레스를 받고 있다'를 영어로 옮길 때 'a lot of'의 위치를 틀리는 경우가 많습니다. 'a lot of'는 명사(stress, pressure) 바로 앞에 와야 합니다. 'under a lot of pressure' 또는 'under a lot of stress'가 올바른 어순이며, 'under pressure a lot of'처럼 뒤에 붙이면 안 됩니다.
