In Korean high schools, students learn a variety of courses, which are
mostly mandatory. This allows the students to gain basic knowledge from
variety of fields, and gives them a broader perspective on many things. In
contrast, in Canadian schools, students begin to choose most of their own
courses from Grade 11. Basic courses are mandatory in Grade 9 and 10, but
from then on, students are encouraged to choose courses related to their
choice of career. Thus they will be more prepared to enter their choice of
postsecondary programs.

Korean Trap! /
Common mistakes Korean speakers make.
"set to do"는 "ready to do"와 같은 구조이므로, 항상 to + 동사원형(choose, start, go 등)으로 써야 합니다.
