Our closest friend and enemy is Japan. Japan and Korea have experienced
over 2000 years of history together. Although some people in South Korea
have started to lose their hatred against the Japanese as the new
generation of children grow, the majority of the population still grieves and
holds grudges against them for the sufferings and pain they brought
during the colonization in the 1900's. Some even blame Japan for the
splitting of the Koreas.
