Unit 2-9 / Part 2
There is sometimes a misunderstanding about why people become
homeless. The homeless are often accused of drug abuse, addictions,
and/or laziness. In a surprising number of cases, however, people seek
shelters or even create a home under the bridge simply because they
cannot afford to own a house. Some of them still have their jobs, and have
had their education, but misfortunes ? such as losing a court case ? drive
them out of their original homes.

Korean Trap! /

Common mistakes Korean speakers make.

❌ It was turned out that the homelessness people were actually war veterans.
✅ It turned out that the homeless were actually war veterans.

"was turned out"처럼 수동태로 쓰면 틀립니다.
