Cosmetic surgery has become readily available to the common Korean. It is
not uncommon to meet people everyday in Korea who have had cosmetic
procedures done. In some cases, these procedures are done for reasons
other than purely cosmetic ones. The idea of going through invasive
procedures and spending much money for these procedures in order to look
more pretty do not seem to be readily debated on.

한국어로는 '성형수술을 했다'라고 표현하기 때문에 영어에서도 'did surgery'라고 직역하는 경우가 많습니다. 하지만 수술은 의사가 시행하는 것이므로, 환자 입장에서는 반드시 'had surgery' 또는 'got surgery'라고 표현해야 합니다. 마찬가지로 'allow someone to V' 구문처럼, 영어는 행위의 주체를 정확히 구분하는 것이 중요합니다.
